Love André
Hello André. Thank you for your very kind words. I’m so sorry to hear about your mother and father. Be strong.
If You Could Tour With anyone living or dead who would it been and why?
Albert Einstein. I’d just sit on the tour bus and listen to him speak. Jesus would be good to tour with as well.
I have a picture of your father from 1943. It has hung in my breezeway for 30 years. It was taken in Boston… Im going to try to put it up on twitter for you.
Hi – just a wee wave from Edinburgh, Scotland. Hope all is well over there.
Thank you for writing to me. I had a wonderful time in your beautiful country.
My family and I love yourfather’s music. This past winter our two year old was in the kitchen playing in the Tupperware drawer and she dropped everything when, I believe it was “Come Fly With Me” was the background for a car commercial. She stood and stared at the tv until the commercial was over, then turned to me and asked me to play it again. We got her, and her sister who’s three their first cd, Frank Sinatras’ greatest hits for Christmas and now we listen to it every night during bath time. I have a video of the two year old dancing to Frank while dressed
… and the beat goes on! Thank you!!!

Hello, Morgan. Al Hart was a wonderful friend to all of us in my family and I miss him.
Hi Nancy,
I thank my older sister for turning me onto your music, I was about ten years old when I first heart “These Boots Are Made For Walkin” I remember telling my sister at the time, that’s my girlfriend singing
remember I was only 10 years old, I don’t think Lee would have mind. I got alot of your records including Mel & Nancy, which I love since I like Mel Tillis Too. Anyway, I just wanted to say Hi, and listen to you when I get the chance on XM. By the way, I love your dad song “Cycles” I listen to it a lot. Well going to sit back now and watch Speedway.

Oops, I Meant Heard
Thanks so much for writing.
Hi Nancy,
A nice story for you.
I am 38 yrs old now. When I was young perhaps aged 5 – teen years my dad used to come and collect me every weekend (split family) to take me back to his house and used to play his “Nancy and Lee” album in his car and also at home. So you could say I have been listening to your music for 33 years man and boy. When he died in 2002 I came across his vinyl LP and claimed it. I sometimes play your music to my children whilst in the kitchen at meal times (as i now have it on a USB memory stick). Yesterday I downloaded lots of music (yours amongst it) to put on a bigger memory stick so i can listen to my tunes whilst working and not just the radio and did a search for Nancy & Lee and downloaded what I thought was a whole album, as it turns out there was a lot more on the download than I thought. When i got into work i plugged my memory stick into my computer and pressed play. At the end of the “some velvet mornin” track I started to hear “Arkansas Coal” and then “Down from Dover” and others, tracks which I havent heard since I was about 5 years old. A tear came in my eye as it brought back the memories or my dad, that and the words are very powerful. Nancy and Lee have always had a place in my heart and hopefully my children will grow up to love your music as much as I do. The songs all have stories wrapped up in them, which you cannot say about more recent music of late, and this is part of why I love N & L. I just wanted to let you know that whilst your solo career music and Nancy and Lee music isnt played that much in the media (except boots) it will be passed down through the generations in my family and most likely many others also, thus touching 3 generations. Wishing you all the best.

Nigel, yours must be the nicest message I’ve received out here. I’m grateful that your dad introduced my music to you and even more grateful that you still listen on your own. Thank you so much for writing to me.
Love,
Nancy
Hi Nancy!
Not sure if this is the best place to ask, but here goes…
I write a very popular music blog called Plain Or Pan. I run an occassional feature called ’6 of the Best’ where a band/musician/icon tells me 6 of their favourite records. The readers of my blog really enjoy these features. Would you have the time to contribute?
Thanks,
Craig
Why do you use Phil Spector’s name?
Hi Nancy!
Phil’s the man………well…he was the man, a long time ago. For some reason my nickname has always been Phil Spector (I spent a lot of time in recording studios when I was younger) and it’s just kinda stuck. My blog is registered in that name and since it’s become as popular as it is, I don’t really want to change it.
D’you have a few minutes to participate in an article? My readers would love it…
If you want to see the sort of stuff I write about, you can visit Plain Or Pan here: http://philspector.wordpress.com
Thanks for replying!
Craig (not the real Phil Spector)

Good Evening Nancy: I just read in Newsday today the death of your long time friend Billy Strange. God Bless him and all the great work he has done in the music industry for so many. I will pray for him tonite as always and for those far from home in harms way. My fellow Vietnam Veteran Larry Hickam whom I have known for 25 years in my VVA chapter told me last week at our meeting his son Dylan who used to march with us as a cub scout in our parades has returned to Camp Lejune in North Carolina with his fellow Marines after 9 months in Afgahnistan. He will be home in another few weeks and be at our next meeting. Thank you again for all you have done and continue to do for all of us who served. Look forward to rolling thunder. Semper Fi, Paul Masi
Hi Paul. So nice to hear from you and look forward to seeing you at Rolling Thunder.
Dear Nancy, Billy Strange was my friend. He “found” me in 1978 … I just did not really want to be “found”. I stayed out of the music business, but I will always love Billy. He will be missed by a bunch of us. I met you once through him back about the time you and Mel Tillis were putting an album together. I had a copy of that album at one time. Do you know where could I get another copy of it?
Sorry but I have no clue where to get the Mel and Nancy album. Have you googled it?
Hi Nancy, it was so good to hear from you. My heart is still
racing! I tried to get on your contact list, but I’m not sure who
to talk to. Our Marine reunion in Ann Arbor will be from April
15-18, 2013. The hotel will be Weber’s Inn which is my favoite
restaurant with great steaks, prime rib and seafood. Ken Weber
has a very fine wine cellar and was featured in Wine Spectator
last year. Nancy, if you could email me an address where I could
send you our letter that we have mailed to our Marines. My e-mail
is tfuleky@gmail.com, and my phone number is 734 645-9482. Also
we are trying to get ahold of Lee Ermy who was my D.I. at MCRD
in Oct. of 1966, to be our speeker. Nancy, thank you so much for
everything and that great show you put on in 1967. Tom
Dear Nancy,
For Billy who’s love of music touched many:
the friendships we weave inspirations transcend,
dissipate with time and distance,
always in mind… peaceful, silent.

Nancy, I had the pleasure of seeing you at Camp Pendelton in 1967. I want to thank you so much for entertaining us Marines. I was a sniper with 3Bat. 27th.Marines when we were sent to Vietnam
during the TET Offencive, Feb. 1968. We are having a reunion on
April 15, 2013 in Ann Arbor,Michigan and we would pay for all

fighting men during the Vietnam War. Tom Fuleky
Thank you for writing to me, Tom. I love keeping track of my troops. xoxoxo
WELCOME HOME!
Tom, please see the “contact” section of this website and let me know more details of your reunion.
Dear Nancy,
Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of Billy. He was ne of America’s great guitarists and arrangers, in that special category with people like Don Randi, Carol Kaye, Leon Russell and Jack Nitzsche. You guys made AMAZING music together. Records that sounded like no one else’s. Imagine something as bold as “Lightnin’s Girl” hitting the airways today? It is as “edgy” as they come nearly half a century later. And of course “Boots” and “Some Velvet Morning”. PS: I love your version of Ain’t No Sunshine. The best since Bill’s which incidentally, he didn’t write. Booker T. Jones of Booker T and the MG’s did. I KNOW Booker must like it. By the way, Lincoln Mayorga and his wife live up by me and are very active in the local music scene.
I don’t know your name, but thank you so much for writing to me, and thank you for the kind words about our music. Yes, Billy was the best. I’m very sad…
Nancy, I’m so sorry for your loss.
Rest in peace, Billy.
Thank you, dear Lourdes.
Hi Nancy,
I’m a huge fan of both your father and you. This past weekend my wife and I stumbled across a restaurant called “Sinatra’s” in Paso Robles that is using your father’s likeness—I suspect without permission. Not only is the restaurant named Sinatra’s (with the name on the front window apparently a reproduction of his signature), but his image is everywhere– on record albums in the front windows (as is yours), in many many photos and posters that adorn the walls and even a reproduction of a poster for a Rat Pack show in 1960. The restaurant just opened in December 2011 so I didn’t know if you were aware of it, but I wanted to bring it to your attention in case you didn’t. It doesn’t have a website yet, but does have a facebook page, though they don’t post any pics of the restaurant there. I took some photos if you’d like me to e-mail them to you or your rep.
I’ve been meaning to write you for a long time to tell you how much I admire you and to thank you for the many hours of enjoyment I’ve had listening to your show (as well as A.J’s) on XM Radio.
Best,
Brian
Thank you, Brian.
Nancy,so sorry for the loss of your long time friend this morning.
Thank you, my friend. It’s the world’s loss too.
Hi Nancy
First, I love your songs from the 60′s. As a James Bond fan, my favorite film is You Only Live Twice and my number one favorite song is YOLT which you obviously sang. Can you please answer a couple of questions regarding the theme song? I’ve read that the song was constructed from many takes. Do you remember how many takes you did and did you record with the orchestra or separate? There is also the single that came out. I like it and it sounds a little different from the film version. Was it done at the same time and with John Barry, or was it your own arrangement? Did u go to the film’s premiere? Best of luck to you! Howard
P.S. Sorry Nancy, “…And then I had to spoil it all, by saying something stupid, like I love you.”
Hello, Molly. I wish I had a lot more of Morrissey’s songs but, sadly I’ve none.
Dear Miss Nancy Sinatra:
Would love to see you sing a few more Morrissey songs. Especially if you and Morrissey were to do a full length lp together. Any possible plans? Your rendition of, ” Let Me Kiss You”, is a favorite! Thanks Nancy! Love you!
Molly , David and Rocco
On Sirius XM yesterday (Feb.20) they played a recording of Frank singing near the end of his public career a touching rendition of “Someone to Watch Over Me” but the orchestration was so loud at times it drowned out his voice. Is there any way you and your technicians could go back to that live performance recording and amplify his voice because what I COULD hear was soft, touching and emotional. Any help appreciated.
BTW… this weeks Nancy for Frank show on Hollywood Songs was great … I especially enjoyed hearing the Soundtrack version of “3 Coins…” because you had mentioned a few weeks ago that it
was unavailable due to copyright issues with Fox… glad that was
worked out. Both the soundtrack (extended playing time of course) and Nelson Riddle’s Capital studio arrangement were great. Love the show and the insider commentary…. jkc
Hi Nancy
Id like to say I’m one of your biggest fans.I’m 25 years old and from North Carolina. The one thing I’d like to know is if your planning on making any kind of duet album with any country singer.
The only duet album I’ve made was with Mel Tillis. He is a wonderful man and great singer.
Dear Nancy,
This past weekend my wife and I saw the production of Come Fly Away, in Hershey, Pennsylvania. While the music and dance were fantastic, I thought the show really lost its charm and class when the performers stripped down to their underwear and began making sexual gyrations. They didn’t need to do that. It was a top performance. That part spoiled it, in our opinion. We sense your Dad would not have gone for it. If you have any influence or contact with them, please echo our sentiments.
We love love love your family’s music!

P.S. Listen to you every Sunday night on Siriusly Sinatra!

Dear Nancy,
In June, my best friend and ex-husband was in a devastating accident. He spent 100 days in the hospital, and was nearby finishing his recovery when he died suddenly. Before he died I heard your father’s song “my way” and it fit my friend perfectly. I took some of the last photographs he had taken and made a small movie and put the movie to “My Way” It turned out beautifully and I would like to share it with friends and family. Is it possible to get your permission for the use of the song?
Thank-you
K.H.
Oh, I’m so sorry to hear this. May he have eternal peace.
